Hi,I have filed H1B during August 09 ..my priority dates became current in Sep 09 and I have filed for AOS -485 /EAD ..Should I cancel my H1B or will it automatically get canceled once I receive my EAD ?Please suggest.

My Title is different in H1-B and GC, though it is in the same field.. I am going for stamping to Chennai in January.. Will this be a problem ? Will they ask questions about I-485 filing in H1-B stamping ?

You cannot file 485. You will have to start the process from scratch. However, you can use the priority date from the approved 140.

It has to be 693 as per my understanding. The doctors usually have their versions of 693, in multipart (3-4). I think the 4th part is green and is intended to be your copy. Along with 693 there is a supplement page for vaccinations etc.

USCIS reports that 1000 H-1Bs were receipted over the past week with 34,500 now counted. 400 masters cap cases were added bringing the total to 13,000 in that category. That's about on pace with the last several weeks and the exhaustion target in that category remains February 2011. My methodology is simple. Hi All,
I have a simple question.
I have my I-140 approved with some kind of receipt number.
My lawyer filed my I-485 and it reached NSC on Aug 9, 2007.
I have not recd. any I-485 receipt notice or number yet.
Can i still track my I-485 progress using my I-140 receipt number on
the USCIS website somehow ?

I started to notice this back in 2006 when the immigration debate was heating up in Washington. I was getting those annoying email forwards and this time they were of the Lou Dobbsian anti-immigrant variety. They might increase the no. of H1Bs but might not do any refinement in the immigration process I guess.:o
So can't say how that would be advantageous but nevertheless the economy is boomin and there are lots of jobz.:)
